Staff Bio

Shaina H., BS

Shaina is our Practice Manager and an energetic member of the CNS Leadership Team. After joining CNS in early 2011 as an administrator, she quickly expanded our capabilities as a company by developing the internal Billing Department. She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Maryland where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and minored in Human Resource Management. Physicians, patients and vendors are encouraged to contact Shaina regarding physician relations, CNS operational concerns or suggestion, vendor connections, employment opportunities, and business partnership proposals.

Jessica Goodwin

Our EEG Supervisor and Senior Neuro-diagnostic Technician, Jessica Goodwin has been working in the Neurology field since 2002 and plays an essential role in the diagnosis of brain diseases such as epilepsy, stroke and brain injury.  She has worked with Dr. Rafiq and Comprehensive Neurology Services since 2010 and is qualified in all areas of EEG, ranging from neonatal to geriatric patients; Ambulatory and Video EEG as well as Visual, Auditory and Somatosensory Evoked Potentials.  Jessica is fluent in American Sign Language and able to interpret both verbal and visual conversations.  Between her qualifications, great work ethic and passion for helping others, she is able to give her patients a level of care second to none. Working together with Frederick Memorial Hospital, our practice is able to provide excellent patient care both in our office and the hospital setting.

Sripanjalingam Visvalingam

Visvalingam Sripanjalingam, known around our office as “Sri,” is one of our EEG technologists. He studied medicine in the University of Jaffna, Sri Lanka. As such, he is skilled in the areas of Emergency and Disaster Management, National Trauma Management, Pediatric Emergencies, Life Support and Adult CPR, as well as Counseling and Meditation. He was previously employed at various hospitals (in Anesthesiology, ENT, Emergency Department and as a Rotary Member) in Sri Lanka before his family migrated to the United States in late 2010. He has been providing us with his services since early the following year and looks forward to continuing in this endeavor. His motto is “Service above self.”

Hira Usmani

Hira has been with CNS since late 2011 and is our prior authorization specialist and EEG technician. She also has experience in insurance verification and claims appeals. Her educational background is in Microbiology; She has a bachelor’s degree from Karachi University in Pakistan.

The mom of three, Hira is fantastic with young children and for the past seven years has also served as an elementary and middle school substitute teacher for Frederick County Public Schools.

Additionally, she also holds current CPR and First Aid certifications and a daycare/preschool license. A very friendly individual, she always engages herself in various social and community welfare activities. She also enjoys painting and gardening as a hobbies. She plans to expand her knowledge horizons, including expanding her expertise in Neurodiagnostic testing.

Samantha Holley

Samantha is our Front Office Coordinator and has been with CNS since February 2015. She is actively working on becoming a Medical Assistant and hopes to certified by early 2016! She is excited for opportunities to grow and expand her experience within the healthcare field. She believes in exceptional patient care and strives to promote excellent communication. When not working, Sam enjoys shopping, trips to the beach, watching movies and horseback riding. Patients are encouraged to contact her with any questions regarding scheduling and general office inquiries.

Diana

Diana is our Billing Supervisor. After joining CNS in early 2012 as a billing assistant, she has recently assumed the position of supervising this sub-group at CNS. She actively oversees the complete reimbursement process for all services furnished in our clinical facilities as well as our contracted physicians’ work in local hospitals. Patients and legal patient representative are encouraged to contact Diana with any questions, concerns or suggestions regarding the effective billing of their services.
