Thorough evaluation of Memory Problems
The idea behind a memory clinic is that it provides a more in-depth look at any memory problems you might be having. They can specify a diagnosis, offer treatment where appropriate and provide advice or put you in touch with services that might help you within the community.
After a physical examination, your neurologist may order some tests, such as blood and urine tests. You may also be tested for memory or cognition to check any problems with your memory or ability to think clearly. Care in this area includes evaluation and management of forgetfulness, word-finding difficulties, forgetting names and directions, dementia testing, Neuropsychological, social service resources and respite care, behavioral and personality changes, and hallucinations with memory problems.
Remember, only a doctor can determine the clear-cut treatments for distinct conditions.
