Sean Burke, MD
NEUROLOGIST; SUBSPECIALIZATION IN MULITPLE SCLEROSIS (MS) AND NEUROMUSCULAR MEDICINE
Dr. Burke sees a wide variety of patients with neurologic disorders, particularly immune mediated disorders such as multiple sclerosis. He also manages rare autoimmune disorders of peripheral nerve and muscle.
Dr. Burke completed his bachelor’s degree in Biology (cum laude) from Davidson College, North Carolina. He received his medical degree from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, MD. He completed his medical internship and residency in neurology at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Subsequent training included one-year fellowships in Neuroimmunology (University of Maryland), Neuromuscular medicine (Penn State) and Neurophysiology (Allegheny General Hospital). He was an assistant professor in Neurology at the Virginia Tech School of Medicine between 2014-2018 before relocating back to Maryland, where it all began.
He is board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is also boarded by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
