Albert J. Martins, MS, MD

NEUROLOGIST; COLONEL U.S. ARMY MEDICAL CORPS (Retired)

Dr. Martins is an American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN) board-certified neurologist with a history of serving over thirty years as Senior Staff Neurologist in the Department of Neurology (US Army medical corps). In March 2016, he was retired as a Colonel with recognition for meritorious service. In September 2020, he obtained additional board certification by the ABPN in Brain Injury Medicine.

Dr. Martins is currently affiliated with the Holy Cross Hospitals in Silver Spring and Germantown. He received his master’s degree from the University Maryland College Park and medical degree from Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

Dr. Martins diagnoses and treats disorders of the nervous system to include the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. He treats headaches, migraines, stroke, dementia, seizures, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, sleep disorders, and neuromuscular diseases.
