W. David Strayhorn, MD, PhD
NEUROLOGIST; SUB-SPECIALIZATIONS IN EPILEPSY & SLEEP MEDICINE
Dr. Strayhorn is board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; board-certified in Epilepsy by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology with Added Competency in Epilepsy Monitoring; and board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Dr. Strayhorn completed his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from Princeton University, New Jersey. He received his MD and PhD (Cell Biology) degrees from Vanderbilt School of Medicine, Nashville, TN. He obtained his Neurology training at Washington University in St. Louis, including internship, residency in Neurology, fellowship in Electroencephalography, Evoked Potentials, and Epilepsy, and fellowship in Sleep Medicine. Dr. Strayhorn continued to practice general Neurology by providing compassionate and state-of-the-art care at St John’s Mercy Hospital prior to moving to Frederick, Maryland in January 2012.
Dr. Strayhorn is board-certified in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; board-certified in Epilepsy by the American Board of Clinical Neurophysiology with Added Competency in Epilepsy Monitoring; and board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has been awarded a letter of recognition from Barnes-Jewish Hospital Division of Emergency Medicine for exceptional clinical service.
