NEUROLOGY PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT
Karla Urgilez is a dedicated NCCPA-certified Physician Assistant with a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Biology with a minor in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Bioinformatics. She then continued her education at George Washington University, earning a Master of Science in Health Sciences from one of the nation’s top-ranked PA programs. Her rigorous training equipped her with the clinical expertise and empathy that define her practice today.
Currently, Karla serves patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, working at an outpatient clinic in Silver Spring, Maryland, while also providing hospital-based care at Holy Cross Hospital. This diverse experience allows her to care for a wide range of medical conditions, from preventive care and chronic disease management to acute inpatient treatment.
As a fluent Spanish speaker, Karla is passionate about breaking language barriers and ensuring all patients receive comprehensive, high-quality care.
Beyond her professional life, Karla finds joy in the simple things—especially spending time with her beloved dogs and playing tennis. She believes that a well-rounded life, filled with both professional dedication and personal fulfillment, is key to being the best provider she can be.
